In addition to the team’s extensive experience in the members’ specialist fields, and as well as local studies and consultation, we have researched many schemes in the UK and abroad – past, present and proposed – for the ideas and lessons that they offer.

We have undertaken team visits to leading schemes such as the century-old Bourneville development in the Midlands and more recently the Poundbury development near Dorchester along with Freiburg’s Vauban Quarter in Germany, Almere in The Netherlands. This process is a central part of the teams work with more visits in the pipeline to ensure constant evaluation and feed back is used in support of the designs for Fort Halstead.
