Consultation

Many discussions with local representatives and Council Officers during the period January to October 2007 formed the basis for the Fort Halstead Vision Document, and workshops have been conducted with Sevenoaks District Council on key topics including sustainability and contemporary office employment.

Hines have also met with and presented to members of local Parish Councils, and with other key stakeholders, including the Government Office for the South East, Kent County Council, local Registered Social Landlords, local Colleges of Higher Education and the bus and train operators.

Going forward

In support of the need to fully and transparently consult upon the emerging concepts for the redevelopment of Fort Halstead Hines is currently in the process of organising public exhibitions, design workshops and meetings with Parish Councils and local people. Advance details will be posted on this site when they are available. Following further consultation and the development of the proposals for Fort Halstead over the Spring and Summer, Hines is aiming to submit a planning application for Fort Halstead in the Autumn 2008.
