Public consultation
Armstrong Kent LLP is keen to give the local community the earliest possible opportunity to share their views on the Fort Halstead’s potential and help shape its future.
The public exhibitions in mid-May were the start of a longer three stage consultation programme. This website will be updated in advance to let you know how you can get involved in each stage.
Initial public exhibitions – Mid May 2012
The first public exhibitions introduced Armstrong Kent LLP’s new consultation on the future of Fort Halstead. However, this was not an opportunity to view a finalised development brief as the proposals will be shaped by the community’s input over the course of the consultation programme. Rather it was an opportunity to view and comment on our assessment of the opportunities and challenges that we face in identifying a future for the site.

Community Planning Event– July 2012
A Community Event provided a useful forum for discussing the issues raised during the public exhibitions in more depth with those who wish to get involved.
Feedback Public Exhibitions – Autumn 2013
It is important that those who have been involved in the consultation programme should see how their feedback has helped shape the emerging Development Brief. These exhibitions will provide a further opportunity to input into the process by commenting on a draft of the Development Brief.
